When the people vote for what is good for the elite, it's democracy. When the people vote for what is good for the people, it's right wing extremism.

Tyranny comes cloaked in all manner of political guises. And we all know it when we see it; that is the power of the people outside of the panopticon. Now we must break through.

Man, you don’t truly believe all that, do you? Lol. If you want to just debate “conservatism” as a legitimate way of thinking, I can show you how you’re wrong all day. Economically, morally, socially, etc. But, don’t you think it’s supremely unwise to attempt to justify far-right authoritarian thinking and continue to attach it to your cause? You automatically lose the moral high ground in doing so. Even when the far-right tries to hide behind the concepts of free-speech and democracy, the foundations of white-supremacy and fascism are still there. Why would you not just denounce that ideology and try to defend your positions without including Nazis into your camp? Crazy.

Yes, indeed, spot on analysis. It demonstrates once again that totalitarianism, regardless of what it’s called - fascism, communism, socialism, Nazism is all the same at its core. It also shows that totalitarianism is far from dead, and that the fall of the Soviet Union was not an end to communism, it was just the end of a certain phase of communism as it spreads in the world. We have never been in greater danger as a free people than we are right now, and the enemies are not just at the gates, they’re inside the gates.

We have absolutely no certainty of success, and the attitude of far too many people in our societies is still way too complacent. We are sitting on a knife edge.

Except East Germany voted for AfD. Your whole point has been undermined by this fundamental misunderstanding.

East Germany may have to split from Germany to save itself. West Germany will not allow remigration of citizens and legal residents.
